SebbieRun is an idle running game operated by the SebbieRun developer, based in Bangkok,
Thailand. This page explains what the game collects, why, who else handles it, how long it is
kept, and how to delete it. Questions or requests:
sebbierun@gmail.com.
The short version: no ads, no advertising trackers, and we never sell your
data. You can play without an account. If you sign in, you can delete your account and its
cloud data yourself, inside the game.
If you play without signing in (guest)
-
Your saves live on your device, in the browser's local storage (or the app's storage).
-
To see how the game plays and where people get stuck, we store an anonymous summary of your
progress (for example: stage reached, currencies, pulls, play time). We also store basic
device details: browser type, platform, language, screen size, time zone, the page that
sent you to the game, and whether you're playing in the iPhone app or a browser. This is identified by a random ID created on your device, not by your
name or email. It is deleted 30 days after you last play.
-
We also record how you respond to the quick in-run events (which kind, whether you tapped or
let Auto handle it, and how fast). These records carry the same random ID and no name or
email. They are currently kept with no automatic time limit, to study game balance.
If you sign in with Google
-
Google shares your email address, name and profile picture with our sign-in provider. We
use your email to show which account you are signed in with.
-
Your saves and profile names are stored in the cloud so you can play on more than one
device, along with the same device details as above. Periodic snapshots of your save are
kept for 90 days, and a record of what you spend Diamonds on is kept for 90 days.
-
Records of how you respond to in-run events are kept while your account exists.
-
If you played as a guest on the same device before signing in, we link that device's guest
record to your account.
-
Leaderboards: if you enter the World Boss, your profile name, your best
distance, and the character and skills you used appear on its leaderboard, which anyone
playing the game can see.
Other things you choose to send
-
Feedback: the star rating and comment you submit at the end of a patch, with a
snapshot of your progress (stage, prestiges, play time and distance) so we know where you
were in the game.
-
Purchases: payments are handled by Stripe. We receive which product you
bought, the amount paid, and a Stripe reference number. We never see your card details. Stripe's own privacy
policy applies to the payment.
-
Your running data (the YOU character): if you import a Strava export, the
files are read on your device. Only a small summary is saved with your game: the name you give the character, your pace,
one run's duration, distance and date, and your total running and walking distance.
Who else handles your data
-
Supabase hosts the game's database and sign-in, on servers in Tokyo, Japan.
- Netlify hosts the website.
- Google provides sign-in, if you use it.
- Stripe processes payments, if you buy something.
Like any online service, these providers process your IP address to deliver the game, for
example in their server logs. Inside the game, only the developer can access player data.
Deleting your data
-
Signed in: go to Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes
your account and all of its cloud data: saves, profiles, save snapshots, gameplay records,
leaderboard scores, feedback, and purchases (which cannot be restored). The saves already on
your device stay there, and you carry on as a guest.
-
On your device: clearing the site's data in your browser, or deleting the
app, removes your local saves.
-
Anything else: email us at
sebbierun@gmail.com to ask what we hold about you,
or to correct or delete it. Guest records have no name attached, so tell us roughly when and
on which device you played, and we will do our best to find them.
Children
SebbieRun is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal
information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
